Domain Registration
The first step in setting up a new web site is to find and register a domain
name. RLM primarily uses Domain Discover for domain registration services.
RLM uses Domain Discover because they are reasonably priced (new domain
registrations for $9.95) and they provide easy to use DNS hosting and all the
features that some other domain registrars charge extra for. To check if a
particular domain name is available, use the Domain Discover web site. Check our their Whois Search to find out who
owns a particular domain.
Domains names can only have letters, numbers and hyphens. No other
characters are allowed. Domain names are not case sensitive, but are
usually registered with all small characters.
.COM is the most desired domain extension for companies. .ORG is
best for non-profit organizations. Other options are: .NET .US .INFO .BIZ.
